The Concrete Society is running a one day Technical Seminar coving Standards relating to concrete practice and how they interact. This provides a useful insight into specifying concrete and the relationship of Standards and their implications.
Key standards are:
BS EN 206 Concrete — Specification, performance, production and conformity
BS 8500 Complementary British Standard to BS EN 206
BS EN 13670 Execution of concrete structures
BS EN 12350 Testing fresh concrete
BS EN 12390 Testing hardened concrete
BS EN 13791 & BS 6089 Assessment of concrete strength in structures
The event will offer an in-depth insight for engineers, supervisors, students and technicians with the focus upon practical interpretation and interrelation of numerous concrete related Standards; including materials, specification, execution, testing, investigation and remedials amongst others.
